Traditional Braces Vs. Invisalign®

Wire braces have been in use for decades, but the ones we offer are smaller and sleeker than those your parents or grandparents may have worn. In addition, they’re durable and cost-effective for both children and adults, providing improvements to your teeth that can’t be achieved by some of the other dental technologies in use.
If you choose this option for teeth straightening, metal brackets attached to the front of your teeth and elastic bands will work together to gradually straighten your teeth or close unwanted gaps in your teeth.
Initially, you may feel some sensitivity and slight discomfort, but your mouth will soon grow accustomed to the treatment and “toughen up,” keeping your discomfort to a minimum as your teeth gradually move into their new positions.
For those young people and adults who may be hesitant to wear traditional wire braces, Invisalign clear plastic aligners provide an attractive alternative. With this treatment option, wire braces are replaced by a series of clear plastic aligners, each custom-designed and fitted for your dental arch. As one aligner is replaced by the next in the series, your teeth gradually move into their new positions.
Invisalign aligners are far less noticeable than traditional braces, and because they can be easily removed, you can take them off at meal time and continue eating your favorite foods.
